You better go to the hospital. If your 100+ you got problems at about 103 you can have seizures 105 you can die 106 is clinical death. Get well soon!Guys, ALL THE ADVICE NEEDED FOR TREATMENTS ON A HIGH FEVER!!!?
Your idea of a high fever and mine may differ. 99.8-100.8 is low-grade, 101-102 is mild, 102-103 is moderate and over 103 is high and requires immediate medical intervention. Febrile convulsions can occur at the threshold of over 103 or at about 104. These convulsions are harmless but the damage to the brain from the fever is not. Now decide what kind of fever you have based on this. You kind of threw in ';pain'; as an afterthought and you've given no information about it (cause, site, quality, etc.)
For 103 and higher, go to an ER.
For moderate fevers, cool baths or showers, ice packs covered with a towel and placed at the groin, neck and armpits, cold drinks, a fan, alternate between Tylenol and ibuprofen every 4 hours not exceeding the total recommended 24 hour dosage. This will also help with mild to moderate pain.
For mild fevers, treat them the same way as moderate ones but take only one antipyretic instead of two. This will also help with mild to moderate pain.
Low-grade fevers don't require treatment unless they continue to elevate but you can take Tylenol or ibuprofen for pain.
If you have a fever you need to go to an emergency room. At this point there is no way to know what is causing the fever but fever signals us that something is very wrong. You should not let it go. If you're fever is over 100 you should seek medical attention. For a moderate fever (under 100) you can take some Tylenol and see if that helps.
Listen to your body now and avoid being sick for a long time!
